What is paid prompted message?

Paid prompted message is a message sent to a certain number this number is usually smaller than regular users numbers, and it represent a third party company or person between you and your carrier service provider, this third party makes an agreement with your carrier service provider to make this message with higher cost, for example if the regular message cost .30 USC this message will cost 5 USD, usually this message used with charity or TV show programs, but in this case its a scam and they are trying to steal your money (no one knows how until this moment).

Google paid SMS issue

Recently a few phones running on android suffers from an issue of a prompt message appears asking to confirm sending paid message to different numbers ,such as Google Backup Transfer.. "would like to send this SMS" this issue was appeared in mutable countries and the number of victims seems to increase over time, 

it is very concerning noting that this message will keep sending until it finish all of your phone credit and it will be a huge issue if you have a sim card running on credit or monthly invoice.

 it seems to be a hack tool,until the moment of writing this article their is no comments from google about this issue.

This seems to be a bug throw google play services and it require permission for this service to access your SMS feature for using it.

Solution

The only solution at the moment is to deny SMS access for any app except your regular SMS app witch you are using, this will stop the issue and stop the bug and hopefully will save your money, you will find this at setting, app, permission, SMS, then choose each app individually which can use SMS feature and deny all other no matter what it warned you about functions of this app will be affected of not working properly.

• Hackers or thieves will always try to steal your money so please be save and don`t share your information with other people.
• Keep an antivirus program on your phone and do a regular scan.
• Do a regular scan for app permissions not only SMS but camera, microphone...etc.
• Do not install any app from another source than google play store.
• Keep a copy from your phone data on another device.
• Keep you financial treats on your phone save by using 2 or 3 steps verification.
